Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 8–10 slices regular-cut bacon
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Optional: toothpicks for securing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- In a bowl, toss trimmed asparagus with olive oil, garlic powder, and black pepper until coated.
- Take one slice of bacon and wrap it spirally around 2-3 asparagus spears. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
- Arrange the bacon-wrapped asparagus bundles in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the asparagus is tender-crisp. Serve warm.
