- ¾ cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1–2 tablespoons brown sugar (light or dark, to taste)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional toppings: fresh fruit, nut butter, nuts, granola
Instructions
- In an airtight container (like a mason jar), combine rolled oats, chia seeds, brown sugar, and salt. Stir well to mix dry ingredients.
- Add the milk and vanilla extract to the container.
- Stir thoroughly, scraping down the sides, ensuring all ingredients are well combined and no dry pockets remain.
- Seal the container and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight (8+ hours).
