Indulge in these easy-to-make, beautifully adorned chocolate covered strawberries. A perfect blend of fresh fruit and rich chocolate, ideal for any special occasion or delightful treat.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (approx. 15-20) fresh, firm strawberries
- 10–12 oz high-quality melting wafers (dark, milk, or white chocolate)
- 1/2 – 1 tsp refined coconut oil (optional, for smoother melt)
- Optional toppings: sprinkles, finely chopped nuts, contrasting chocolate for drizzle
Instructions
- Prepare Strawberries: Gently wash and thoroughly dry all strawberries. Ensure they are completely dry to prevent chocolate seizing.
- Melt Chocolate: Using a double boiler or microwave method, melt your chosen chocolate until smooth. If using, stir in coconut oil.
- Dip Strawberries: Hold a strawberry by its green cap and dip into melted chocolate, coating about three-quarters of the berry. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Add Toppings & Set: Place dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet. If adding toppings, do so immediately while chocolate is wet.
- Chill: Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes, or until chocolate is completely set and firm. Serve and enjoy!
