Ingredients
- 1.5 cups (170g) shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
- 2 oz (56g) cream cheese, full-fat
- 1 cup (112g) superfine blanched almond flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 0.25 cup (56g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)
- 0.25 cup (25g) grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine mozzarella and cream cheese. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring, until melted and smooth (1-2 minutes total).
- Quickly add almond flour, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning to the melted cheese. Mix well until a cohesive dough forms.
- Divide dough into 12 equal portions. Roll each into a 5-6 inch breadstick on the parchment-lined sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.
- While baking, melt butter in a small bowl. Stir in minced garlic, parsley, and Parmesan cheese.
- Immediately brush baked breadsticks generously with the garlic butter mixture. Serve warm.
