Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20 or 90/10)
- 1 small onion, finely minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 6 large (10-12 inch) flour tortillas
- 3/4 – 1 cup store-bought nacho cheese sauce (or homemade)
- Optional toppings: sour cream, salsa, guacamole, fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
- Sauté Aromatics: Add minced onion and garlic to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes until softened.
- Season the Beef: Stir in taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until liquid is mostly evaporated. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Assemble Wraps: Lay a tortilla flat. Spoon about 1/2 cup beef filling onto the center, leaving a border. Drizzle 1-2 tablespoons nacho cheese over the beef.
- Fold and Seal: Fold the bottom edge of the tortilla over the filling, then fold in the sides firmly. Roll up tightly from the bottom to seal. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place wraps seam-side down on a lightly greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve: Let cool for 5 minutes, then slice diagonally and serve hot with desired toppings.
