Ingredients
- 2 cans (20 oz each) young green jackfruit, in brine or water
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for GF)
- 1–2 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp neutral oil (avocado, grapeseed, or olive)
- Optional: 1/2 tsp smoked paprika, 1/2 tsp onion powder
Instructions
- 1. Prep the Jackfruit: Drain and rinse jackfruit thoroughly. Pat dry. Shred the jackfruit with your hands or two forks, discarding any tough core pieces.
- 2. Make the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sriracha, maple syrup, garlic powder, and any optional add-ins.
- 3. Marinate: Add shredded jackfruit to the marinade, tossing to coat. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best flavor.
- 4. Air Fry: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly oil the basket. Arrange jackfruit in a single layer (work in batches if needed). Air fry for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and golden brown.
- 5. Serve: Toss and serve immediately with your favorite sides.
