Description

This easy-to-bake Viral Dumpling Lasagna combines savory frozen dumplings with rich marinara and melted cheese for a weeknight wonder. It’s a comforting,flavorful dish that quickly becomes a family favorite.


Ingredients

  • 1 (20-24 ounce) package frozen meat-filled dumplings (e.g., pork & chive potstickers)
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, divided
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder, divided
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven & Prepare Ricotta: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. In a bowl, combine ricotta, egg, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  • First Layer: Spread about 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of the baking dish. Arrange half of the frozen dumplings in a single layer over the sauce.
  • Second Layer: Carefully dollop and spread half of the ricotta mixture over the dumplings. Top with 1.5 cups of marinara sauce. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  • Repeat Layers: Repeat the dumpling, ricotta, and marinara layers with the remaining ingredients. Top generously with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if using.
  • Bake: Cover loosely with foil (spray underside with cooking spray). Bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 20-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown. Broil for 2-3 minutes if desired for extra browning.
  • Rest & Serve: Let the lasagna rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
