  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 8-10 servings

Description

These delightful banana split skewers bring all the classic flavors to a fun, portable format. Easy to make and perfect for any occasion, they’re a crowd-pleasing dessert.

Ingredients

  • 23 ripe bananas, sliced into 1-inch rounds
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup fresh or canned pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • ¼ cup chocolate syrup, for drizzling
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce, for drizzling
  • Optional: Lemon juice (for bananas)
  • Optional: Whipped cream, for serving
  • Optional: Sprinkles or chopped nuts, for decorating
  • 810 wooden or metal skewers (68 inches long)

Instructions

  • 1. Prepare Your Fruit: Peel and slice the ripe bananas into 1-inch-thick rounds. If desired, lightly brush the banana slices with lemon juice to prevent browning. Hull the strawberries and cut them in half. If using fresh pineapple, cut it into 1-inch chunks. Ensure all fruit pieces and marshmallows are roughly the same size for even threading.
  • 2. Assemble the Skewers: Take a skewer and begin by threading a marshmallow onto it. Then, alternate with banana slices, strawberry halves, and pineapple chunks, adding another marshmallow every few pieces. Aim for a balanced skewer that is visually appealing and sturdy. Repeat until all skewers are loaded.
  • 3. Arrange for Serving: Lovingly arrange your assembled banana split skewers on a platter or serving tray, ensuring they are laid out neatly for an attractive presentation.
  • 4. Drizzle and Decorate: Generously drizzle the chocolate syrup and caramel sauce over all the skewers. For an extra festive touch and added texture, sprinkle with colorful sprinkles or chopped nuts. Serve immediately for the best fresh taste and enjoyment!
