- 6 slices sturdy bread (sourdough, white, or wheat)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 6–8 slices deli-sliced turkey breast
- 6 slices cooked crispy bacon
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 4–6 lettuce leaves (romaine or iceberg)
- 1 large ripe tomato, thinly sliced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Toothpicks or skewers, for securing
Instructions
- 1. Toast the Bread: Gently toast the bread slices until golden brown and crisp. This can be done in a toaster, toaster oven, or pan.
- 2. Spread Mayonnaise: Once toasted, spread a thin, even layer of mayonnaise on one side of all six toasted bread slices.
- 3. Assemble First Layer: On the first mayo-coated slice of bread, layer a generous amount of turkey slices, followed by 3 slices of crispy bacon, then a few slices of tomato. Lightly season the tomato with salt and pepper.
- 4. Add Second Layer: Place a second mayo-coated slice of bread on top of the first layer. On this slice, arrange your avocado slices, then top with lettuce leaves. Lightly season the avocado with salt and pepper.
