Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225g) Angel Hair Pasta
  • 1 lb (450g) Large Shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on or off
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Chicken Broth or Dry White Wine
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Lemon Juice (from 1 medium lemon)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup Reserved Pasta Water (optional, for sauce consistency)

Instructions

  • 1. Prep Ingredients: Mince garlic, chop parsley. Thaw shrimp if frozen and pat very dry.
  • 2. Cook Pasta: Boil heavily salted water. Cook angel hair pasta until al dente (2-4 minutes). Reserve 1 cup pasta water, then drain.
  • 3. Sauté Shrimp: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  • 4. Build Sauce: Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same pan. Once melted, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for 30-60 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth or white wine, simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  • 5. Combine: Add cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss well, adding reserved pasta water if needed for consistency. Return shrimp to the pan. Stir in lemon juice and chopped parsley.
  • 6. Serve Immediately: Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley and lemon wedges.
