Ingredients
- 2 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin-on or off
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1–2 tablespoons hot sauce (Frank’s RedHot or Sriracha recommended)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for GF)
- 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (or oil)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, green onions, or sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Pat salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, hot sauce, minced garlic, soy sauce, and lime juice.
- Heat butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Place salmon skin-side down; sear for 4-5 minutes until crispy and halfway cooked.
- Flip salmon. Immediately pour hot honey glaze over the fillets. Cook for another 2-4 minutes, spooning glaze over fish, until salmon is flaky and glaze is thickened.
- Remove from heat, rest for 2-3 minutes. Garnish as desired and serve immediately.
