  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp ground nutmeg
  • For the Cobbler Topping:
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cobbler Topping: In a small bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cut in cold butter until coarse crumbs form. Chill in the refrigerator.
  • Make the Cheesecake Filling: Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, beating until creamy. Transfer to a piping bag and set aside.
  • Prepare Donut Batter: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan. Whisk dry ingredients (cake flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt) in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk wet ingredients (milk, melted butter, egg, vanilla). Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed, do not overmix.
