Ingredients

  • 1 sheet (10 to 14 ounces) store-bought puff pastry, thawed
  • 3 ounces thinly sliced pepperoni
  • 1 cup shredded low-moisture, part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water or milk (for egg wash)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • Marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  • 1. Prep Oven and Puff Pastry: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Ensure puff pastry is thawed but still cold.
  • 2. Layer Fillings: Unroll puff pastry onto the prepared baking sheet. Arrange pepperoni evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, and oregano (if using) over the pepperoni.
  • 3. Roll Tightly: Starting from one long side, carefully roll the pastry into a tight log. Pinch the seam to seal it well.
  • 4. Slice Rolls: Using a sharp knife, slice the log into twelve 1-inch thick rounds. Place each slice cut-side up on the baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
  • 5. Egg Wash & Bake: Whisk the egg with water/milk to create an egg wash. Brush the tops of the rolls. Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until puffed, golden brown, and cheese is bubbly.
