Ingredients
- 8 all-beef hot dogs
- 8 hot dog buns (brioche or potatoおすすめ)
- 1/2 cup sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger
- Fresh cilantro or green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
- Score hot dogs: Make several shallow diagonal cuts on both sides of each hot dog.
- Prepare sauce: In a bowl, whisk sriracha, brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
- Bake first round: Place scored hot dogs on the baking sheet. Brush half of the sauce over them. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Bake second round: Flip hot dogs, brush with remaining sauce. Bake for another 8-10 minutes, until caramelized.
- Toast buns: Lightly toast hot dog buns while hot dogs finish baking.
- Assemble and serve: Place hot dogs in buns, garnish with cilantro or green onions. Serve immediately.
